Giants drop first two in Lethbridge

The Giants have been in both games and played well enough to win, but have just come up a little bit short.

June 2nd

Bulls 11 Giants 10

The Giants had a monster 7th inning to take the lead. But gave a 5 spot back to Lethbridge in the 8th to trail by 2 going in to the 9th. The Giants cut the lead to just 1 in the 9th but could not complete the comeback.

highlights in the loss

Keegan Marsden had 3 hits, and Hewitt, Bentiez, Halstrom, and Friis all had 2. Cale Thornton also pitched 2 scoreless innings while striking out 3.

June 3rd

Bulls 5 Giants 3

The Giants got off to a good start. Getting on the board first, and having a strong start from Tyler Moskalyk. They held the lead until the 6th when the bulls scored 3 to take a 4-3 lead. After that the Giants were unable to bring a run home.

Highlights in the loss

Tyler Moskalyk went 5 innings and struck out 6 while only giving up 2 runs. Max Hewitt continues to hit the ball well going 3-4 with 1 RBI, Travis Turner also pick up 2 hits in the loss.

The Giants will look to close out their first road trip on a winning note tomorrow when they send Samuel Hersh to the mound to take on the Bulls. First pitch goes at 2:05 pm
